We Can Re-Home Your Furniture

Encore Re-Use promotes and encourages re-use and recycling of household items in an effort to reduce landfill and unsightly fly-tipping. Good quality furniture which adds to the problem of waste will be used to help someone else make a home.

If you live in the Derbyshire Dales (please ask what radius we currently collect from) and have furniture or household items you wish to donate to Encore Re-Use, then please contact us and, providing your donation is suitable, we will arrange for large items to be collected at a convenient time.

We collect most household items, including three-piece suites, beds, chest of drawers, tables and chairs, wardrobes, etc. that are no longer needed.

We ask that donated goods are re-usable and in good condition. Unfortunately we cannot take all items offered to us, particularly if they do not meet the relevant Trading Standards and the 1998 fire regulations. All donated items are taken to our workshop to be inspected and, if necessary, repaired before being sold.

What furniture can I donate?

We collect most household items, including three piece suites, beds, chairs, tables and wardrobes. For a better indication, please look at the Furniture Gallery.

Electrical Appliances can only be accepted up to 5 years old and in complete, clean, working condition. Please note that chest freezers, electric fires/heaters and electric blankets cannot be accepted for insurance purposes.

What sort of condition does the furniture need to be in?

We ask that donated goods are re-useable and in good condition. Unfortunately we can not take all items offered to us, particularly if they do not meet the relevant Trading Standards and the 1998 fire regulations.

What furniture cannot be donated?

We DO NOT accept under any circumstances the following: Iron Framed Beds, Radiograms, Hi-fi Systems, Prams, Pushchairs, Cots, Child Safety Gates, Carpets and Gas Appliances.

How much does it cost to collect donated items?

If you live in the Derbyshire Dales (please ask what radius we currently collect from) simply call Encore Re-Use on 01335 300907 or email info@encorereuse.org.uk and we will arrange a convenient time to collect your donation FREE OF CHARGE. However, as a small charity any donation of cash to help towards our future sustainability is always gratefully received.

What if I don’t live in the Derbyshire Dales?

There are a number of other furniture re-use organisations. Contact your local council and they will point you in the right direction.
